Had the Chocolate cake and the Banana bread. The smell from outside is outstanding. You can watch pastries being made . Nice neat seating. Latte's too.. Plenty of parking.

The croissant I had at Waxwing Bakery was the best I’ve ever tasted. Their selection of pastries, cookies, and breads is truly outstanding. They offer all the classic favorites you’d expect but also feature a variety of unique, creative baked goods you won’t find elsewhere. Their coffee program is equally impressive. Billy makes a phenomenal macchiato—the way it’s supposed to be! So many places get this wrong, but not here. The balance and flavor of the macchiato were perfect, and it truly elevated my entire experience. Waxwing Bakery offers both dine-in and to-go options. If you decide to dine in, I highly recommend bringing a box of treats home with you. Trust me—you’ll be thinking about the flavors and wishing you had grabbed just one more pastry or cookie to enjoy later! This bakery is owned and operated by a talented husband-and-wife team who clearly know their craft. Their passion and expertise are reflected in every item they make. Whether you’re a fan of expertly crafted baked goods, exceptional coffee, or just enjoy supporting local businesses, Waxwing Bakery is a must-visit. I can’t recommend it highly enough! Stop by—you’ll be glad you did.

Stopped by on our way out of town for the first time and wow! I had the sausage roll and a sesame cookie that were both phenomenal. My latte was delicious as well!

Waxwing is a GEM! Gone are the days when you have to drive into Portland to get an actually good coffee, croissant or freshly baked artisan bread. Co-owners are awesome, Hannah used to be the kitchen manager at Tandem and they also carry Tandem coffee and so excited Waxwing is just as amazing and delicious. Highly recommend. Also reasonably priced but high quality. The blueberry cream cheese danish I had was amazing, as was the lemon poppy olive oil cake and chocolate croissant. The quiche is really good too, generous portions and very hearty with a really nice flavor profile (one of the best I've had.) Can't wait to go back (already been twice) and see this place thrive!

In 2 words: Culturered Experience; in a land of chicken wings and redundant menus, Waxwing stands out as a beacon of hope in a relatively uncultured area. Nestled in between Walmart and other big box brands, you'll find Waxwing. As you enter, you're immediately presented with some exquisite handmade jewelry. Then you walk up to the service counter which is a feast for the senses. You're presented with a wide variety of savory and sweet pastries. When you're finally ready to muffle through all the "ooos" and "ahhs", you make your decision with prompt service. They had me at the first bite. As my teeth dug into the flaky, buttery summer squash lemon ricotta Danish, my taste buds were taken on the ride of a lifetime. One bite of the sausage roll and I was hooked. Customer for life? I think so. ***Picture for evidence

Received a sweet Xmas gift box from a family member and wow. The blueberry cheese danish was spectacular and I tasted just a tease of the scone. Now I will torture myself by waiting to share the rest with my significant other. We will now have to personally visit this very talented bakery.

Everything they make is delicious. They understand the right balance of flavors in their savory and sweet foods. I love that they have a ton of savory options as well as their sweet pastries. Even the plain croissants are amazing. Many of my friends request I bring their pastries to parties. They also offer tea and coffee. I enjoyed my chai latte when I dined in once.

Went her from breakfast and also picked up some potato rolls for burgers! Their almond croissants are the most succulent sweet fluffy soft yet perfectly crispy on the outside breakfast pastry ive ever had. The potato rolls are big!!

Waxwing is hands down the best bakery I’ve ever eaten at. We go at least once a weekend, and have tried most of the pastries and savory items. The scones are always delicious with a good balance of flavors (right now is blueberry lemon I believe). The different quiche varieties are always super savory and have excellent combos of flavors! A couple weeks ago they had a quiche with potato that I easily could have eaten and entire tray of. The service is awesome, and we always feel welcome!
